What we make
Two types of rope, two types of woven tape.
We make two types of rope (cord) and two types of woven tape. Ropes from coarse yarns containing short fibre, or from fine yarns containing long fibre. Tapes with a plain profile (thicker, high strength) or a herringbone profile (thinner).
Twisted ropes
From 4 to 90 mm diameter
Rope type 1
Rope from coarse yarns
Made from coarse yarns containing short fibre. High mechanical strength, traditional look.
For: technical uses and short-fibre applications
Rope type 2
Rope from fine yarns
Made from fine yarns containing long fibre. Smoother surface, easy to handle.
For: applications that need a smooth surface (Shibari, decor)
Woven tapes
From 10 to 90 mm wide
Tape type 1
Plain profile tape
Plain woven, thicker, with high strength. For applications that need durability and stability.
For: straps, upholstery, items under tension
Tape type 2
Herringbone profile tape
Herringbone woven, thinner. Textured zigzag appearance.
For: decorative applications or those with aesthetic requirements

Packaging
Thin cord replaces plastic ribbon for a warmer finish.

All Cavvas ropes, cords and tapes are made at our production facility in Gilău, Cluj county. Raw materials are carefully selected, and the manufacturing process is monitored at every stage to obtain consistent products suitable for each application.
